Independent Tea Consultant Erin Addington joined up during October's Mini Kit promotion. With her enthusiasm, Erin has already added two new team members in the last two months. We spoke with her recently about her business and her favorite things about being a Tea Queens Consultant.

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO BECOME A TEA CONSULTANT WITH TEA QUEENS?

I decided to become a Consultant with Tea Queens mostly so I could have a discount on all the tea I like to purchase, but also because I have always enjoyed sharing my love of tea with others.

HOW DID YOU DEVELOP YOUR LOVE OF TEA?

I started early with tea - chamomile as a child was always my favorite! Now, I think of tea as being a great many things - a warm hug, a companion with a good book, and a tasty treat that’s healthy!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TEA?

I have so many favorites! If I had to narrow it down to two, I’d say when I want a sweet treat, a cup of Lemon Chiffon Rooibos does the job. My most constant drink companion is the Lady Jane. I love the combination of the lavender and the spearmint together!

WHAT TIPS CAN YOU SHARE WITH NEW CONSULTANTS?

I think the best tips I have are, one, love the tea and share of often! I take in samples to the schools my children go to and share with the people I volunteer with there. I also share it with family and friends! Two, try as many of the flavors as you can - you never know when you will find a new favorite and that can get you excited about sharing it with others! Three, last but not least, carry samples with you wherever you go. I almost always keep a few sample bags with me so that I can just share with whoever I’ve been talking to! I take my tea to go with me, and anytime I’m asked what I’m drinking I love to have a sample to hand out! I love telling others about Tea Queens and tea in general, and I think I’m just very excited about it and that’s something they pick up on. Plus, honestly I think the product sells itself!
